Бібліотека Джорджа Пібоді — Балтимор, Меріленд (США)
Бібліотека зберігає понад 300 000 томів, багато з яких видані ще в позаминулому столітті. Всі ці видання допомагають вчитися студентам Університету Джона Хопкінса. Бібліотека Ліюань — Пекін (Китай)
Архітектор Лі Сяодун побудував її у двох годинах їзди від Пекіна. Бібліотека створена спеціально для дітей та жителів села, які могли б тут безкоштовно читати. Щоб будівля не дисонувала із навколишнім пейзажем, архітектор використовував для зовнішньої обробки хмиз. В інтер'єрі теж багато дерева. А ще в бібліотеці використовується виключно природне освітлення, тому допізна вона не працює.

Історія цієї бібліотеки розпочалася з колекції індоісламскіх рукописів, яку зібрав правитель штату. Це відбулося ще дві сотні років тому. Діти, внуки та правнуки, які займалися наукою і мистецтвом, поповнювали її. До нашого часу в бібліотеці зібралося 80 000 книжкових томів і понад 17 000 рукописів арабською, перською, турецькою, хінді та, звичайно, санскриті.
